Procedure
The
correct procedure for crying off is:
Principles
·
Cry-offs must be made as soon as possible. If this is before 9pm Thursday, the Team
Secretary will organise replacements and notify skippers. Any cry-offs after 9pm Thursday result in the
skippers organising replacements. ANY
late cry-offs have serious selection implications and will be subject to an
internal Selection Committee investigation.
The Selection Committee may impose sanctions where no valid reason has
been forthcoming. Repeat offenders may
have their membership terminated.
·
Cry-offs should be minimised by accurate availability
information being supplied by players to the skippers prior to the Selection Committee
Meeting.
·
Players must provide reasons for any cry-offs.
·
Cry-offs without a valid reason (in the opinion of the Team
Secretary), may result in a Club suspension.
The length of the suspension is determined by the Selection Committee,
chaired by the Team Secretary.
