Disciplinary Code 2005/06

The Carshalton Football Club Disciplinary Policy has been amended and simplified for 2005/06.  It applies to players who represent the Senior Section of the Club.

The consequences of reaching Stage 1, 2 or 3 of the AFA Discipline code are very serious, involving heavy Club fines, appearances of Committee members before the AFA and ultimately exclusion from AFA Cup competitions in the following season.  This would be wholly unacceptable to us, given the hard work in getting the FA Charter Standard.

1st Offence   AFA suspension served plus fine paid
2nd Offence   Review by Committee, AFA suspension served plus fine paid, additional 1 match Club Ban
3rd Offence all bookings Appearance before The Committee, length of Club Ban decided by Committee in addition to AFA suspension served plus fine paid
3rd Offence including any sending off Automatic expulsion from the Club (subject to appeal)

Note that technical offences (delay of game, handball, etc) do not carry a Club ban.  The Club ban is designed to punish serious foul play and dissent.

Dissent
There is an additional Club Ban of 1 week if the offence is dissent, as this makes up the vast majority of the offences and is totally inexcusable.  This applies to all Senior Section teams.

Club Bans
Club Bans will be served on home games
, so that the punishment can be ratified by The Committee and the players involved lose out on the convenience of home fixtures.

Anyone found to give a false name for a booking or sending off will receive an automatic 4 week Club suspension.  Anyone playing under a Club or AFA Ban will be asked to appear before the Committee and if found guilty, will be expelled from the Club.

Appeals
Players who are appealing against their red / yellow cards will have any applicable Club Ban suspended pending the result of the AFA / SAL investigation.

If a player intends to appeal against his booking / sending off to either the Committee or the AFA / SAL, he or his captain must send a copy of the appeal report to the Club Secretary, Team Secretary and Chairman within 3 days of the game.  The Team Secretary has the final decision on whether and when the Club Ban is to be served.

Fines
Club administration fees
are payable for each booking or sending off.  For delayed payments, this club administration fee increases.

A Booking costs £12, but £30 for dissent
Sending Off fees depend on the the seriousness of the offence, but a minimum fine of £25 is due immediately.

Payment of fines is due on the day of the offence.  A payment is considered delayed if it has not reached the Club Secretary within 5 days of the offence.
