Once again the side endured a frustrating end to the season, missing promotion by a whisker. Geoff Stewart led the side with enthusiasm and for much of the year the team occupied a promotion place. But, as they faltered, defeats at the hands of both eventual promotees – Norsemen and Old Bromleians consigned them to another season in Division 2. A comprehensive 3-0 defeat at the hands of Old Wokingians ended the defence of the AFA Surrey Senior Cup at the first hurdle.
The 2s had a catastrophic start and although they rallied well, they left themselves too much to do and they suffered the drop back to Division 2. There was no change in the league status of the other sides that season. With playing membership reaching record levels, the Club was able to field 10 sides plus a Vets side for the first time – giving extra work to long serving Match Secretary Jake Jacobs.
