Rod Woolvin

Rod Woolvin played in goal for the 1st XI in the 60s and returned to the Club to watch his son Kevin ply his trade for the 1st XI.  Soon Rod was bucket man / trainer / physio / agony aunt to the 1st XI.  At one point he even stepped in as Team Secretary midway through a season.

This is Rod's last season as Bar Manager and there is no doubt we will miss his work when he has hung up his pipe cleaners.  Our problems in the last couple of seasons have been with the turnover and certainly not the profit margin.  Rod needs the membership's help to address the problem of getting more money behind the bar.

So if there are any problems with bar staffing, bad barrels, flat beer, lack of stock, lack of change, etc, then please feel free to search out Rod.  He'll be lording it up in the Old Gits Corner.

Rod does a huge number of tasks that go unseen by the vast majority of the Club - he was recognised for this by being the first recipient of the Carshalton FC Quaiche.  Without him we would not be the Club we are today.  Always there to help and always smiling, unless anyone questions the quality of the bitter!!
