May 2003 - U12s End Of Season Tournaments - our
U12s entered two tournaments on Sunday, one at Farncombe
Boys FC in the morning and one at Aldershot Town FC in the
afternoon. They reached both finals. At Farncombe they
played 6 games and never conceded a goal in open play, but
lost on penalties in the final to old rivals Hanworth Villa,
despite beating them 1-0 in a group match. At
Aldershot, they tired visibly as the tournament progressed
but still reached the final undefeated having conceded only
1 goal. However, despite beating Carshalton Athletic A
in the semi-finals, they lost the final on penalties to
Carshalton Athletic B after a goal-less draw.

May 2003 - Carshalton FC Win AFA Referees Hospitality Award -
incredibly, Carshalton FC have been chosen by the AFA
referees as the most hospitable club in the AFA for
the third year running - rather ironic, given the
number of disciplinary points accumulated this season.
This is a fantastic achievement and the Club owes a huge
debt of gratitude to those who contributed to this award,
especially the Bar Staff, honorary members, skippers and
players who made the refs feel welcome.

May 2003 - Carshalton U15s Win League - the U15s
won the Premier Division of the West Surrey Youth League in
their first season, despite their 0-2 defeat at West
Middlesex Colts on Sunday. This is because no result
has been received for runners up Meadow Sports in their
final game of the season, and the league season has now
closed, so the league have awarded a draw.
This means that the U15s have
won the League and Cup double - hopefully we will have
pictures very soon on the web site.

May 2003 - U12s Gain Promotion - Saturday's planned
game with Halliford Colts did not take place because the
League has already awarded us the points. However a
9-1 demolition of relegated Hampton Rangers on Sunday
confirmed the U12s' promotion to the Premier Division of the
West Surrey Youth League. Check out the report for a
photo of the boys with their trophy. Congratulations
to Gary Johnson and his boys.

May 2003 - U15s Win League Cup - to cap an
excellent weekend for the Club, the U15s won the West Surrey
Youth League Cup with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Motspur
Park. Lee Tupper's report is available on the web
site. This is a fantastic achievement and we all hope
they can clinch the double in their final two league
matches.
Not to be outdone, the U12s
won 6-3 at Carshalton Athletic and will gain promotion to
the Premier Division if they can secure 4 points from their
remaining fixtures against Halliford Colts (on Saturday) and
Hampton Rangers (on Sunday).

May 2003 - 6s Retain SAL Cup - after a thrillling
match at Kew Association's ground, Carshalton 6th XI
triumphed for the second year running in the SAL Cup Final,
this time defeating Norsemen 1-0 with a last minute
goal. Pictures and Matt Osborne's report are available
on the web site.
