31 Jan 2005 - Top Scorers
- Adam Lemon scored twice last weekend to remain
top club scorer on 16. He is followed on 15 by Elliot
Stevens of the 4s, Rob Morley of the 6s on 14, Rick Morris
of the 7s on 13 and Dave Robins of the 6s on 12.
Top scorer in the 1s is Simon Clare on 7. Top scorer
for the 2s is Shanes Bowes on 11. Top scorer for the
3s is Chris Wells and Jack Mesure on 11 apiece. Top
scorer for the 5s is Matt Dudley with 9. Top scorer
for the Vets is that starlet Alex Kiszczuk with 10.
31 Jan 2005 - Weekend
Review - not quite such a good set of results this
week. The 1s disappointed with a home 1-3 reverse to
Weirside Rangers with Keith Cave notching his third of the
season. The 2s lost narrowly up at Winchmore Hill in
their top of the table clash, while the 3s failed to score
for the first time this season, but still managed a point to
stay top. The 4s fought back from 0-2 down to draw 2-2
with Alleyn Old Boys. The 5s had the most bizarre
result of the day. Having forced extra time at
Winchmore Hill in the AFA Cup, they contrived to lose 0-6 in
extra time!
The 6s continued their very impressive climb up to third in the table
with a 4-1 win over HSBC thanks to another hattrick from Rob
Morley. The 7s continued remain unbeaten in 2005 with
a 3-3 draw at Bank of England. The Vets drew 1-1 with
the Chelsea Pensioners.
On Sunday the U10s were unlucky not to come away with all 3
points, but had to settle for 1. The U13s had an
excellent win over Raynes Park Sports, but the U16s tasted
defeat to to of the table Hampton Rangers.
22 Jan 2005 - Weekend
Review - goals galore this Saturday - even in
defeat. The 1s lost 2-3 in a disappointing game
against Alleyn Old Boys with goals from Kevin MacLeod and
the forehead of Garry Baker. The 2s walloped bottom of
the table Crouch End Vampires 7-1 with goals from the usual
suspects. Result of the day was the 3s win on
penalties in the quarter finals of the SAL Cup at
Polytechnic.
The 4s were disappointing in their 2-3 defeat by Civil
Service - big thank you to Ian Wigham for stepping in and
refereeing the fixture when the appointed referee did not
appear. Meanwhile in Division 4 both the 5s and 6s
had excellent wins - the 5s seeing off Kew Association 5s
2-1 thanks to a Johnny Wilkinson thunderbolt and a fine team
goal finished off in emphatic style by Tom Ritchie, while
the 6s demolished Alleyn Old Boys 5s 7-3 with hattricks from
Dave Robins and Rob Morley as well as a goal from Andy
Ferrznolo. The 7s won 8-1 at Kew Association 9s, with
Jon Smith scoring his first, second, third and fourth of the
season.
To the important matters in the bar - half yards of Stella
and vodka were downed by the birthday boys with varying
degrees of success - Dave Paterson had 3 goes, Tom Prowse
broke the world belching record, while Kirknall Reynolds was
so poor it is likely more evaporated than went down his
throat. The only one to down it in a "oner"
was 30 year old James Greenhouse - well done you old git.
19 Jan 2005 - French Trip - this
will only go ahead if we have sufficient numbers committed
financially by the end of January. It is a fantastic
weekend where legends are made. Click here

Don't delay - if you intend touring at the end of May,

18 Jan 2005 - Weekend
Review - the 1s had an encouraging return to form
with a 3-1 win at Old Parkonians with Andrew Taylor and
(incredibly) Captain Andy Cook scoring (as well as an own
goal). Hopefully this can continue for a few more
weeks. The 2s slipped up at home to fellow promotion
candidates Alleyn Old Boys with Neal Collard scoring in a
1-2 defeat. The 3s notched an important win in the top
of the table clash in the park against Old Esthameians.
Chris Wells and Christ Thompson scored the vital goals in a
tempestuous match, photos of which are available in the
report. The 4s were outplayed by Old
Wilsonians 0-3. The 5s returned with a 1-1 draw from
Old Wilsonians with a goal from Johnny Wilkinson, while the
6s continued their remarkable turnaround with a 2-0 win at
Salesians, Andy Ferrznolo and Rob Morley getting on the
scoresheet. The Vets were impressive 6-2 winners in a
game that was a lot closer than the scoreline
suggests. I can't remember getting a drink from the
hattrick jug Alex! Maybe next week?
On Sunday the U10s lost in the last minute at Molesey
Juniors, while the U13s were beaten 2-5 by AFC Wimbledon
despite a good performance. The U16s had some success
with a fine 2-2 draw with Oakway
13 Jan 2005 - Cup Draw - the
2s will face Old Churchillians 1s in the quarter finals of
the AFA Surrey & Kent Intermediate cup at Beddington
Park on Saturday 12 Feb.
11 Jan 2005 - Weekend
Review - the 1s put in an inept, characterless
performance to lose 1-4 in the Surrey Junior Cup. The
least said about this the better. Simon Clare opened
the scoring early on and it was downhill from there.
We certainly missed Adam Taylor and Jon Phillips in attack.
The 2s left it late against Kings Old Boys to book their
place in the quarter finals of the AFA Surrey & Kent
Intermediate Cup. Gary Cummings equalised in the 75th
minute from the spot and Shane Bowes scored in injury time.
The 3s returned to winning ways with a comfortable 4-1 win
at Lloyds. The 4s tired late on and conceded an
equaliser to draw 1-1 with Kew. The 5s had the same
scoreline against Old Lyonians 4s. Result of the day
was the 6s storming 6-1 romp at Lloyds. In form Dave
Robins and Rob Morley grabbed 2 apiece. The 7s failed
to raise a team for their AFA Cup tie at Old Parmiterians
and no doubt we will receive a fine for that. The Vets
were "pish" - a Scottish term for not very
impressive, and are hopeful of improving next week on the
3rd team pitch.
Photos from Saturday are available by clicking here.
On Sunday the U10s lost a thrilling game 0-2 to league
leaders Rocks Lane. The U13s won 2-1 at AC Fulham to
complete the double over them - Luke and Aaron getting the
goals. The U16s lost 1-3 at Hampton Rangers with Adam
scoring the goal.
11 Jan 2005 - Birthday
Boys - twins HMS & Kirknall (pictured below)
are celebrating their upcoming birthdays by going out in
Croydon on Saturday 22 January. They want as many psychopathic
drinkers that the Club can muster to accompany them on their
special night. Contact Wol for further details Dave "HMS" Paterson and Kirknall Bignaught
