27th January 2005 - FA Charter Presentation
On 27 January 2005, Buzz (right) collected the FA Charter Standard plaque on behalf of the Club from John Wilson, Chairman of the Amateur Football Alliance. As hopefully all Club members are now aware, the FA's Charter Standard sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people. It is also the FA's "kite mark" for the administration of adult clubs.
As part of our commitment to the FA Charter, we have set up a link with Stanley Park Junior School this season to provide free coaching sessions in school time to year 5 and year 6 pupils. As per FA Charter standards, all coaches at the Club are FA qualified. The Club is in the process of securing funding to implement our 3 year Development Plan that will see an expansion of the number of youth teams, the introduction of girls football, expansion of links with local schools and redevelopment of the Club's facilities at Beddington Park.
Anyone interested in taking an active part in the Club's development...
