Beddington Park Pavilion Redevelopment - Phase 1
2005 saw the start of a project to redevelop the Beddington Park pavilion, home to Carshalton Football Club and Beddington Cricket Club. This article gives a background to how this came about and gives updates on the work carried out so far.
In the summer of 2004, the clubs joined to form a joint management committee with responsibility for managing the grounds and pavilion for the benefit of both clubs. This included responsibility for securing funding to finance any redevelopment work.
In
March 2005 the joint management committee secured a grant in
excess of £50,000 from the Norlands Foundation, a body who
oversee the distribution of Landfill Tax Credit. We
qualified for this grant given our status as an FA Charter
Club and Beddington CC's work towards gaining the ECB
Clubmark award. This recognised the work being done
for the youth sections of both clubs and the plans for
development of the facilities at Beddington Park to benefit
the community.
The pictures below show the interior of the pavilion prior
to the works commencing (July 2005)

Photos of the internal improvements will continue to be posted on this page as they happen. As well as the above, we will be giving the inside and outside of the clubhouse a lick of paint and wood-stain. If Club members have any suggestions for improvements or would like to volunteer to help in this project, speak to a Committee member.
The next phase of improvements includes redecorating the bar area and function hall, refurbishing the showers, away changing room repairs, mens and ladies toilet refurbishments. As further work is scheduled and photos are available of completed works, you'll read and see it here.
