Pre Season Barbeque

Well done to all those who organised, helped and attended the pre season barbeque at Beddington Park on Saturday 10th September.  It was such a success that Beddington CC have agreed to continue the event next year.  Even the weather held out, which was remarkable considering the final Ashes test at the Oval was so badly affected.  

Special thanks to Dave Paterson and Andy Walter for all their hard work organising and cooking.

The objectives of this event were to get new and old players together before the start of the season and to involve both the cricket and football clubs.  Unfortunately the cricketers were involved in a 20Twenty tournament in Sutton, so we didn't see much of them, but we did have a good turnout from the football club.  Not sure how much money we raised, but I know we cleared our outlay.

We hope those who enjoyed this event will support the events being lined up for the rest of the season.
