Beddington Park Pavilion Redevelopment - Phase 1a

Since the start of 2006 we have been continuing to improve the facilities at Beddington Park thanks to the funding that has been provided by The Norlands Foundation.  We can now unveil the latest set of changes.  Some are obvious, while others are not so.

Firstly the obvious changes.  We have redecorated in the function hall and the bar area.  The bar area has a new carpet and has been painted ice blue.  The function hall has been tidied (remedial repairs) and the walls painted magnolia and wedgewood blue.
The pictures below show the interior of the pavilion prior to the redecoration (for those who don't remember just how shabby and dated it was).

And now the changes...

Still to come - recovering of soft seating in bar area and purchase of new furniture.

Also complete now is the refurbishment of the showers.  This is a very large investment by the Club and means we can offer showering facilities as good as anyone in the SAL.  An additional water heating tank has been installed due to the increased demand!

What's Next?

By the end of the 2005/06 football season the flooring and internal steps downstairs will be resurfaced.  We are working on securing further funding to refurbish the ladies and gents toilets, build disabled access and toilet facilities, and to convert the tractor cellar into new changing rooms.  Obviously, apart from funding, these changes need the dedication of people like Rod Woolvin, Graham Radford and Dennis Philpott, who serve on the joint management committee to ensure that the funds are spent appropriately.  I'm sure all Club members are very pleased with the changes so far.
