AGM Summary

The Club's AGM was held at the clubhouse on Thursday 5th July.  The following is a brief summary of the meeting.  Formal minutes will follow from the Club Secretary, as well as copies of the Chairman's report and the Club Secretary's report. 

The following Committee members were re-elected:

Dennis Philpott - Club President
Tony van Emst - Club Chairman
Trevor Boughton - Club Secretary
Graham Radford - Treasurer
Ian Lewis - Team Secretary

Shaun Swan is stepping down from the positions of Match Secretary and Club Captain, owing to being posted overseas in Qatar for 3 years.  We will miss him in various ways - for his organisational skills, for his playing ability, his leadership skills, and his presence at the Club.  We'll also miss that vacant look, which he has cultivated down the years.  Steve Smith was elected as Match Secretary, and we thank Steve for taking on this position and wish him all the best for the coming season.

It was decided that the positions of skippers and managers for the top 2 sides would be appointed by the Committee within a week after discussions with those who have applied for these positions.

The other skippers elected on the night were:

3s - Tony Edwards
4s - Ben Doherty
5s - Dave Jenvey
6s - Matt Boyman
7s Andy Walter
8s Lyndon Clayton
Vets - Jim Finn

Ian Wigham and Dick Stoker were reappointed as Trustees to the Club.

A number of other non Committee Officer positions were filled including

David Geddes - Web Site Manager & Club Development Officer
Paul Roberts - Youth Development Manager 
Martin Vincent - Auditor
Dave Jenvey - Training Co-ordinator

 

The Joining Fees are set as

Full Playing Membership £50
Non Playing Membership £30
Family Membership £65

Match Fees are £92 for home games (up £2 to account for increase in referee fees) and £65 for away games (as last season).
