Broomfield

3

Carshalton 3rd XI

2 Dave Robins, Gary Cummings

SAL – 8th March 2003

This was a game of absolutely no note whatsoever.  In memory it is dominated only by two awful referring decisions (which cost us two goals in the first half) and 4 hours in the car to and from Tottenham.  If ever there was a case for regionalising the league then this was it.  OK at first team level the standard is decent (ish) therefore by all means travel, but below that standard it seems pointless.  Which is exactly how we left a muddy, windy North London.

Having been 0-3 down at half time we rallied to 2-3 via a superb free kick by Dave Robins and a deftly converted Gary Cummings finish. However they were awful and we lost. Must mean that we're not very good!
