Another good performance by a makeshift third team.  I was particularly pleased with the effort and character shown against a very physical Civil Service Side.  At least we tried to get the ball down and play football! 

Suffice to say our goal came from Danny Berry which was not dis-similar to Beckham's goal at Crystal Palace all those years ago!!!  Good luck to Danny on his crossing practice this week!!!  It should be mentioned that Adam did score a perfectly good goal just before half time which would have made it 2:0 but was ruled offside.  I can assure you that it wasn't and the referee apologised after the game - the joy of having no linesmen... 

Civil Service equalised during one of our 'marking lapses' midway through the second half, which was disappointing as we had had chances and needed that second goal which just wouldn't materialise.  Anyway full marks to everyone's efforts as I know how difficult it can be when eleven players are put together for the first time...

The attitude and commitment was first class...
