After an 0-8 hammering at the hands of Old Finchleians, we made 5 changes to the team.  We didn't get off to the best start by turning up 40 mins late.  The home team made a good start with some good skilful play in midfield.  We got stuck in with some tackles, Steve Tait putting in some good challenges.  After 25 mins Trevor Boughton had a good chance to put us 1-0 up but he put it over the bar.  

Going in at 0-0 we knew we had a good chance.  We started off very well keeping the ball with some good passing in midfield.  After 65mins Matt Osborne hit a good shot from 20 yards over the keeper to put us 1-0 up.  Egbertians scored with 10 mins to go and hit the bar twice.  The ref blew for the end of normal time. 

After a stalemate in the first half, we started the second half very well and Matt Osborne scored his second goal of the game with an outside of the boot chip from 20 yards.  Having gone into the lead, the defence did well with the pressure exerted by the home side.  Coming forward, Matt Osborne had a chance to score his hat trick but it was well saved off the line.  A good performance all round.
