Failure to get the second goal!

How we did not win this game by a hatful of goals - answers on a post card please.  But as Chelsea showed yesterday it's about taking your chances and killing games.  Our young side is still developing and I am sure will learn from Saturday.  I found the goalkeepers jersey on Saturday morning in the peg bag of all places made famous by Terry Vinson and thought what a great omen hopefully things will go right today.

Unfortunately I turned up with the jersey but the goalkeeper did not!  After much persuasion Dave Winister went in goal and did well (with the exception of their equaliser) helped us out...anyone know a Goalkeeper????   Game started off well in great football conditions.  A bumper park crowd watching this festival of football.  Both sides going for it - end to end stuff.  We scored early on to settle our nerves through Alex Kiszczuk - a well taken goal.

I must say our defence was very competent Ross, Matt, Earl and Tom playing well, all trying to play it from the back, as well as winning the majority of the first balls.  I genuinely hope that the new lads are enjoying it with the 4s.  They do however have to learn the disciplines of preparation etc before a game and such simple things as turning up on time with kit and not leaving without paying subs!!!!  I am not a loan merchant (would say bank but I know what everyone would say).

Got to half time only one nil up.  I reminded them of last week and we had to keep things going doing the same basic jobs.  To be fair we did just that until ten minutes to go and Dave Winister played a short goal kick to Ross and from then on we played ourselves into trouble with Civil scoring an equaliser.  I was gutted.  We still had chances with both Michael Winnister, Ross and Sam Johnson having shots saved by the keeper.

Stepping back I must say it was a good competitive game between two sides who both had good attitudes made easy by a good referee.  Still gutted though - feels like a defeat.
