Chris Wells Does a Beckham!!!

Chris Wells sensationally scored from the centre spot today in a near repeat of David Beckham's goal from the half way line against Wimbledon all those years ago.  Carshalton cruised to a good win against Merton.  However, they nearly let it slip in the first twenty minutes of the second half when Merton came within a goal of the Carshalton lads.  It needed two quick goals from Merton to wake up the Carshalton team.  After the second goal from Merton and just when they thought they were back in it when Chris Wells struck with his half-way line goal.  This did the trick and then Carshalton took control and eventually ran out comfortable winners.

Good performances from Mike Winnister, Chris Thompson and Derek Wright helped the 5s to this win and puts them on course to challenge for the top spot.   The above picture show Chris Wells firing his third goal
