Cars started brightly and were unlucky to fall a goal behind late in the first half.  We were then awarded a penalty which Tony Edwards missed (see the old magic's still there).  He then made amends by scoring a second penalty and put us 2-1 up with a good header at the far post after some good work by Tyrone Knight and Kirknall Reynolds down the right hand side.

Shortly after half time Merton made it 2-2 but some good finishing by Justin put us 3-2 up.  Merton however made it 3-3 shortly after.  Another two great finishes by Justin put us 5-3 up and two good saves from Adam (looks like I'm in the 8th team now!) ensured a Cars victory even though Merton pulled one back right at the death. 

There were some solid performances from our new lads Jonathan and David along with Chris French and Bennetto -  although a few visits to pre season training before the season starts wouldn't go amiss.
