SAL Division 4 - 15th October 2005

In truth neither side deserved to win this game.  With Andy Cook standing in for Matt Huffer we started off well.  I really thought Cooke was after his previous week's goal scoring exploits with the 8s early on from a corner.  The first half was made difficult as we faced the sun which made it painful to watch the ball coming at you in the air and boy did they throw things at us in the air making use if the short pitch.  We let a silly goal in - a fluky back heel went past Phil in goal.  Disappointing as we really wanted to get back on track.

Second half we got the ball down and tried to play football whilst the opposition seemed intent on route one and jumping at our goalie.  Well done to Phil for putting up with some awkward challenges (polite description).  Opportunities fell to Alex and Wini and towards the end our make shift centre forward Mr Cook was in acres of space but Ross delayed the pass.  Frustration all round but a much improved display from the previous week's debacle.

Well done to Tom Scola who had his best game - much improved, much, much stronger and to Earle who despite our results appears to be enjoying his football with us.  I am sure with everyone's commitment we will soon get our first win under our belt.  See you all at training.
