I was delighted that the exception of two players everyone in the squad trained this week.  Whilst we are going through a bad period it’s very important to stick together.  The atmosphere in the team is good.

We took a while to get going but this time we scored first a great effort from Mark Raven who attacked the ball with a great header.  We soon scored a second through Elliott Stevens.  Currently Elliot is struggling to find his form of two seasons ago, but to be fair he is working very hard and seems determined to play through his knee injury.  His goal was like turning back the clock.  He is showing a great attitude at the moment and I am sure at the ripe old age of 20 he will get through it

Two nil up and we should have really made it three before half time but unfortunately they scored a lucky goal on the break.

Second half I introduced Mike Harwood to the right wing allowing Lee Byrne into the middle.  Unfortunately we allowed a soft equaliser.

Then the character kicked in as Elliott scored a second and Alex scored a fourth which put the game to bed.  The lads really kicked in during the last twenty minutes.  I thought we were struggling but Messrs Harrison, Blackman and Trumper were outstanding.  The whole team seemed to get a second wind and really kick in.  One piece of defending by Matt Trumper was Carragher / Terry-like.

We should have scored more with Alex and Ravo leading the line very well.  Steve Smith cleared everything he needed to along side Captain Courageous Gary Blackman

Good game well referred and enjoyed by everyone.
