SAL Division 3 - 2nd December 2006

Dominated possession without finishing our chances…

Always a fixture to look forward to.  First half we played some good football created some good chances through Fitz who had magically re-appeared this week.  We towed him to the game this week so he didn’t get lost.  Mike Harwood down the other flank also caused them a lot of problems.  They had a couple of chances in the first half but we defended reasonably well.

Half time it was clear that there wasn’t much between the two sides and as the game went on it was clear it was going to be a tight game.  They eventually scored through a breakaway goal.  We allowed one of their players too much respect allowing him to slot the ball home.  To be fair, the lads gasped the nettle and both Alex and Michael should have scored.  What happens next on that infamous slope - yes a breakaway goal, this time well taken making it 2:0

Last ten minutes their goalie played a blinder preventing us from scoring.

Very disappointing bearing in mind the amount of possession we had.  To be fair everyone gave 100%.

Shooting practice anyone?
