 Back to winning ways against a very dogged Kew team.  Despite the fact that we won 5 :0, for long periods of the game especially when it was still at 1-0 it was a fairly even contest.  We welcomed back the Boughton Clan into the side which resulted in Trevor notching for the first time this season!  Luke worked hard on the right hand side.   

As usual we started off slowly having to grind through the initial stages whilst we got to grips with a very keen opposition.  Dick Polley always seems to lead the way keeping things calm and reminding us to play through it.  Which we did with Dave Robins scoring an outstanding four goals with some excellent play between him, Jez and Danny.  I was also pleased with Terry's performance in goal. 

Despite the five goal scoreline we did lack our usual fluidity which was disappointing in our build up to the Cup Final.  Anyway if you can win 5-0 when you're not playing too well, they say it's the sign of a good team.  Hopefully the 6s are proving just that.  Five games to go, 15 points available.  Civil Service next week.   

Well done Buzz for referring and putting up with the nonsensical offside shouts from Kew.  Especially when Danny deliberately back heeled one through  ball.  David Robins waited inline before going onto score. I was disappointed with their reaction.
