The score was 4-4 in a close game between the youthful 8th team and the more experienced but lacking in fitness 7th team. The 7s took the game to the 8s at the start of first half and Adam Lemon lemon took advantage of this with a tidy finish from long range. The 8s started to come back into the game looking particularly dangerous on the counter with the fitness of the 7s midfield a contributing factor.  This pressure eventually told when they equalised late on in the first half.

The second half started brightly for both teams, each having good spells of possession. This told for the 7s with Adam Lemon finishing off a good move. The 8s though struck back quickly keeping themselves in the game. It was the 7s turn this time to look dangerous on the counter and Jay Breen scored. The 8s then scored a dubious goal which looked offside but with no official ref, the goal was allowed in good spirits of the friendly. The 8s then went in front for the first time finishing off a good move. The 7s though came from behind with a Jay Breen goal which was taken with confidence with a neat shot into the corner. The 7s had a few chances at the end to win it but the strikers were lacking the clinical touch.
