Top of the table Old Actonians were always going to be a tough task for the Cars who continued to shoot themselves in the foot with their poor finishing. Having played some good football and having had most of the possession in the first half, Cars went in 3-1 down at half-time, Old Actonians having played some excellent football on the break and finishing clinically. If Cars had taken a great chance to go 2-1 up this could have been a different game. Cars tried in vain to push on in the second half but Old Actonians were strong and kept threatening on the break. Some indiscipline on both sides spoilt the game towards the end as Old Actonians ran out winners by 5 goals to 2.John Shaw
