A match that started with both teams struggling to find any rhythm due to the thawing out of the pitch.

As the game wore on, we started to stretch their defence, but our final ball was letting us down, and we were also giving Kingstonians too much time to clear the danger. Kingstonians were catching us off the pace of the game at times and could well have scored the first goal.

The introduction of Harry & Jack L saw the above eliminated from our game and a period of Kingstonians on the back foot. It was not too long in waiting,  when Jack L slotted home a penalty for handball and headed home a corner to give us a 2-0 advantage at half – time.

Our pressure continued into the second period with us extending our lead from an OG direct from a corner and Liam firing home , after some good hassling on their last two defenders.  Gradually Kingstonians started to get back into the game with us not picking up their players too well,  and half heartedly clearing the ball.  It was from a corner that they reduced the deficit,  when the clearance was returned high into our net from twenty yards by their defender. This goal woke us up, and we started to get our game back together as a team. We created enough chances for us to extend our lead but we failed to get our shots on target.

Another good performance from the team, but they need to remember to battle for the full duration of the game and not ease off  at any time.
