WSYL - 29th January 2006
A game we dominated from start to finish on a small uneven pitch in windy conditions.
From the kick off , Hampton’s goal was put under siege, but with them playing four at the back there was very little space for us to create any clear openings. Our passing today was not to our normal standard. Many final balls went to waste with the boys not realising how much time they actually had on the ball. They should have kept possession rather than opt to play the ball first time, into a packed area.
Max got the scoring under way, followed by an own goal and then some good individual goals, completed by Jack T following up on a rebound. Max should have been allowed to complete his hat-trick, but for some reason the referee gave a free kick when he stabbed home a dropped ball from their goalkeeper, that even their manager mentioned to the ref was a goal!
Overall a satisfactory result against a weaker opposition.
