This top of the table clash resulted in a very convincing win for the home side.

This was a must win game for us, as any other result would have virtually ended our hopes of being league champions. The boys responded superbly to our pre match team talk and carried out all instructions as directed. Sutton were unable to gain any time on the ball as we harassed them in every department on the pitch and with the wind in their favour in the first half , were unable to gain any advantage from it. We in fact dominated play in the opening half and could well have scored more than the two we converted. 

The second half continued in much the same manner as the first, with chances being created.  Sutton struggled to gain any significant possession and put us under any real pressure, until the last few minutes of the half where they got their consolation goal from a corner. Both our goals came from pressure on their defenders and with them failing to clear the danger resulted in a further two goals.  The goal of the game has to be Jack H’s 20 yard volley.

This was a fantastic all round performance from the whole team, as the management had a hard time trying to nominate the Man of the Match award,  as everyone was on top of their game today.  Lets hope we can take this display, effort, commitment and attitude and maintain it for our remaining games.
