We could go through the team sheet and individually find fault and make judgements, marks out of ten etc, highlight the errors. But no.  Instead we will acknowledge and respect the fine display of football by the opposition and accept we were outplayed on the day. 

However please note that without taking anything away from Epsom, we are more than capable of playing to the level they demonstrated if given the opportunity to play that we gave them.  That is where we are at.  If you allow teams of this quality to play, find rhythm, tempo and build confidence, teams at this level will get better as the game goes on. 

We need to be less charitable in the first quarter.  Words such as "passion", "drive", "robustness" and "awareness" with spirit and positivity or in laymen's terms "get at them and set our stall out from the off".

Boys - things to consider...

• We were too deep early on.  Push up - that's all of you
• We were too slow to clear out of defence
• We've got to be ball winners, not ball watchers in the middle of the park.
• Hassle and pester - no standing off. 
• Crisp passing and movement off the ball. 

We are all now fully aware of the standard we are competing against and next week we will come out to be counted.  There should be no need for a pre match talk.  We have been temporarily wounded, but you cant keep a good team down. 

Welcome to Mitch to the squad and thank you for your efforts.  There will be better times ahead assured.
