Carshalton turned in an excellent performance to crush their first-division opponents Croygas Youth in Beddington Park. The hosts started very strongly and it wasn't long before Louis Barron-Pell steered the ball past the Croygas keeper for the opening goal. Five minutes later Carshalton added a second, when Louis Barron-Pell jinked past a number of players before beating the keeper. Attacks rained down on the Croygas goal, and their fate was effectively sealed when an intricate passing movement ended with Jezz Williams shooting firmly home. Croygas then pulled a goal back when ex-Carshalton player Craig Stanley sprinted onto a through ball and finished with some aplomb. However, on the run up to half-time the visitors conceded another goal when Jamie Streat met a corner with a trademark header.
Any hopes of Croygas finding a way back into the game disappeared very quickly when Ben Gyamfi outpaced the Croygas defence before unleashing a shot past the advancing keeper. The visitors were still under constant pressure and it came as no surprise when, a few minutes later, Daniel Johnson capped a fine individual performance to score Carshalton's sixth. Try as they might the visitors struggled to make much impression on the Carshalton defence, and before the end, conceded three further goals scored by Jezz Williams, Mo Fafona and Ben Gyamfi. A very one-sided affair from what was a virtually full-strength Carshalton side that included two trialists.
