Carshalton U15s

League  – 1st December 2002

Carshalton Rangers are a good side and to come away with an 8-1 victory underlines just how goods Juniors are and in footballing terms just how far they have progressed.  Oliver Adams opened the scoring for Juniors with a goal made in heaven.  Rangers tried to come back and indeed got an equaliser but the only thing that did was to set the Juniors fire going and inspire Chris Tupper to shoot a 25 yard sizzler to take it to 2-1.  Two further goals from Chris, 2 from Jack Mesure and one each from Mark Pucek and Robert Turner settled the game.

Juniors are a class outfit and as one Rangers Dad said at half time "You just have no weakness and more importantly you want the game - you are the benchmark".  Certainly in the second half Juniors showed this and despite Graham Polley making lots of changes, Juniors just marched on.  Tom Lawler, Richard Matthews and Mark Pucek fitted in so well and the team confidence just gets better and better.

Goal scorers we need but if I had to sum up the rest of the side I'd say:

Mark Cowhig - great
Darren Wells - superb
Stevie Greenslade -  what a tackler
Luke Adams - Commanding
Jack Goodman - Class
Dan Coombs - Tenacious- loves the mud!!
Robert Turner - Excellent
Aaron Williams - Mr Commitment
Tom Lawler - Quality
Richard Matthews - Made two goals looked comfortable on the ball.

Next week Corinthian Casuals Colts  - Good luck - keep your feet on the ground and remember  FAIL TO PREPARE, PREPARE TO FAIL!
