League Cup  – 15th December 2002

After a delayed kick off Carshalton clearly had come with the attitude that they would continue their winning ways.  Not to put a finer point on it but this performance was polished.  In all departments Carshalton looked good.  Mark Pucek opened the scoring and after the ice was broken the floodgates opened and Carshalton scored at will.  Jack Mesure returned to his usual goal scoring ways and it was nice to see Tom Lawler on the score sheet.  Indeed Tom could have had five if it was not for the Lammas' goal keeper who had an outstanding game.

During the game the Preditors team manager and Inter League Assistant Manager spoke to me and was very complimentary about Juniors saying that everyone was impressed the way the side had come together.  He said that the difference is the strength in all departments and certainly Darren Wells, Jack Goodman, Luke Adams and Richard Matthews proved this with great performances.

After the game Graham Polley was up-beat and very pleased with the team performance.

Next week we are playing Corinthian Casuals A and given the last few games have not really tested us this one is going to be a big game for the Juniors.  Corinthian are convinced they can beat us and no doubt will be putting in extra training.  Let's go into the Christmas break unbeaten and give Graham an early Christmas present!!
