Carshalton U15s

4 Michael Duho, Chris Stevens, O.G, Andy Bitmead

WSYL – 9 November 2003

A very well deserved win for the boys who worked really hard throughout the game and got was they deserved.  The defence worked well together and put some good balls through.  After many corners awarded and a crack at the woodwork by JJ, it was finally Michael Duho’s goal that put Carshalton ahead to a one nil lead at half time.

The second half proved just as eventful with a second goal by Chris Stevens followed quickly by an own goal.  A beautiful shot from 40 yards by Leon Cole hit the bar.  Substitutions made near the end of the game for Christopher Stevens, Tom Franklin and Michael Duho, by Andy Bitmead, Adam Welch and Reece and another goal by Andy Bitmead.  In the final minute, Andy Bitmead took a corner and Tom Hughes, who was looking to score after a series of missed chances, was pushed and we were awarded a penalty. Adam Welch took the penalty, but owing to the unfortunate nature of the bobbly and muddy pitch, he kicked the floor and the ball rolled to the goalkeeper.  Well done to all the boys.
