After a three week rest Carshalton U16s resumed their pre season games with a comfortable win over a good Oakwood team which had been strengthened by the inclusion of several of the Club's youth team players.  Carshalton were missing three players and had to draft in Oliver Dicks and James Holland who both gave good accounts of themselves.  

The first half was really a bit scrappy and whilst Carshalton had by far the better of the action and had Oakwood defending for much of the half only a great Tyson Phillips goal separated the teams.  

In the second half Carshalton began to settle and found the net twice.  Overall not the most entertaining game but still a credit to Carshalton who were up against a number of older boys.  Graham Polley said after the game "James Holland had a good game and has clearly benefited from our pre season work. Overall given we have had a few weeks off and boys have only just returned from holiday I view this as a solid performance'
