The game started on time and from the outset it was clear that both sides were struggling to find the form they expected.  Carshalton were on top for most of the first half but the usual spark was just not there.  The deadlock was finally broken when approaching half time Oliver Adams slotted home.  The second half saw Carshalton again have the majority of the play but fail to find the net.

Motspur as expected never stopped battling and on a number of occasions nearly made good.  However Carshalton's defence held strong.  The killer blow was finally struck when Tyson Phillips struck home for Carshalton to make it 2-0.

At the end of the game Graham Polley in rather frustrated mood said.  'Lads you are playing to about 40% as good as I know you can play.  You are still beating good sides. I am so looking forward to when you hit top form you will be magic'  Please boys start believing in yourselves!!!!!
