 4 Own Goal, Chris Tupper 2, Aaron Williams

 An early start does not always suit Carshalton, but on the form they are currently showing this is no problem.  Mark Adams kindly agreed to ref the game and Mark, you were great.  As a Dad I would just like to thank you as without your contribution the game would not have been possible.   Hampton were only able to field 10 men and despite this, they were still a side that commanded respect.  There is clearly a lot of effort that goes into the Hampton set up and the boys are well versed technically.   

Carshalton opened 'on fire' and within 7 minutes Robbie Turner had caused the Hampton defence such problems that the drilled cross hit a defender in the head and Carshlton were 1-0 up.  No more than ten minutes later Chris Tupper got a fine headed goal after some excellent work and Carshalton looked comfortable.  The play in the first 25 minutes was vintage Carshalton.  I know I am a Carshalton supporter but when you boys play this way there are few sides that can touch you.  Aaron Williams got the next and Tupps did it again with his head.  Two headed goals from the Tupps in the same game - look out West Surrey - Carshalton can produce miracles!!!!   

Darren Wells in the black socks was so in control at the back that Mark Cowhig in goal had little to do.  Dan Coombes was as usual working hard as was Oliver Adams who was playing on top form.  Whilst the second half was less attractive, the run out James Holland and Dave Booth got was good to see.  What Graham Polley will do when you lads are all fit I just don't know.   A special mention goes to the two Jacks.  Jack Goodman solid as a rock as ever.  Jack Mesure - a professional.  I wish all strikers had the imagination to drop deep when they know it is not their day scoring wise and support their team mates.  Football is a team game.  When you are as professional you play for each other.  Well done lads.  I could write a book about you all.  If you have not been mentioned this week it does not mean you did not contribute.  It just means I am saving your mention up for next Sunday.
