WSYL Cup Quarter Final - 9th November 2003

The quarter finals of the league cup can be the graveyard for many a good side and both Carshaltons were up for today's game - Rangers perhaps more than Carshalton FC as they flooded the midfield in an attempt to disrupt the Carshalton FC boys' flowing play.  The first twenty minutes of the game saw some of the fastest football you will ever see with both sides doing well but neither looking like scoring.  Not good to watch but you had to admire Rangers' spirit and the way they took the game to Carshalton FC.  Well done boys.

After half-time, Carshalton FC had a spell which was to decide the game when Rob Turner shot home and Oliver Adams scored.  Nevertheless Rangers never gave up and soon got one back to stay in the game.  Rangers were great.  They never stopped battling and each and every boy did well.  On balance a good game and one where each side respected each other and Carshalton FC were pleased to hear the final whistle
