2 | Dean Parfitt, Pete Culham |
Friendly – 15th November 2003
This was only our second win of the season and in contrast to the 16 players we had last week, we were back to the bare 11. In the first half, we overcame several good attacks from Chelsea, but soon we got a grip of the game and Peter Culham gave us the lead with a fine lob over the advancing keeper. In the second half we played even better and we limited Chelsea to just a few scoring chances. Dean Parfitt scored our second with a fine individual goal. Everybody played well, but Phil Williamson was excellent at centre half ably supported by Gary Wing and Ian Newman at the back. Dean and Shaggy controlled the midfield and Chris Moggridge and Sam Karlson battled well up front. The rest of us joined in.
After the match Shaggy somehow ended up wearing Gary's underpants and was later overheard discussing Shakespeare with an English teacher in the pub. His crossdressing comedies, no doubt!
